More Than a Building. A Legacy Worth Preserving.
Welcome to the official Campaign Headquarters for the America 250 Fundraising Drawing.
This page serves as the central source for campaign information, updates, official rules, prize information, and the story behind our effort to preserve one of Florida’s oldest American Legion Posts.
About the Campaign
As America celebrates its 250th Anniversary, Gordon M. Crothers American Legion Post 15 is honoring that milestone by preserving a piece of our local history.
The America 250 Fundraising Drawing supports the Gordon M. Crothers Memorial Preservation Project, an initiative dedicated to preserving our historic Post home so it can continue serving veterans, their families, and the Dade City community for generations to come.
Every contribution helps protect a building that has served our community for nearly a century.
Campaign Story
The America 250 Fundraising Drawing represents several important milestones in the history of Gordon M. Crothers American Legion Post 15.
This campaign is:
- The inaugural campaign conducted under the Post’s new Fundraising Drawing Program.
- One of the first fundraising campaigns following the Post’s recognition under the American Legion’s 501(c)(19) group exemption.
- A celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.
- A continuation of the Gordon M. Crothers Memorial Preservation Project.
While this campaign raises funds, it also reflects our commitment to preserving both our historic building and the stories of the veterans who came before us.

About the Donor
The featured Thank-You Prize was generously donated by Patrick Winchester, a member of Gordon M. Crothers American Legion Post 15.
Patrick created and donated this handcrafted America 250-themed cornhole set specifically to support the Preservation Project and help launch the Post’s inaugural Fundraising Drawing Program.
His generosity provided an opportunity for our community to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary while investing in the preservation of Post 15’s historic home.
We gratefully acknowledge Patrick’s generosity and commitment to preserving the future of Gordon M. Crothers American Legion Post 15.
Why Preservation Matters
